What to expect from flow testing

Fuel Injector Clinic can help verify that your fuel injectors are operating properly. Start with the online service request, send in your injectors, and our team will evaluate their condition and document the results.

Service scope: Fuel Injector Clinic services top-feed port fuel injectors only.

Leak inspection and Ohm testing

All injectors are checked carefully for leaks at the body and nozzle, and we verify coil condition by measuring resistance across the injector terminals.

Spray pattern and pulse operation

Our technicians review spray pattern quality and test injector pulse behavior from idle through full-throttle operation. If deposits are affecting performance, cleaning can typically correct the issue.

Flow rate verification

We confirm whether the injectors flow the correct amount and match each other properly. Even when spray pattern looks acceptable, internal deposits or corrosion can still create flow imbalances.

Data sheet and seal replacement

You receive a flow data sheet with the test results, and we replace all standard injector seals. Please include your injector seals so we can match the correct fitment for your vehicle.

Mailing instructions

Prepare the shipment

Send a completed service request with externally clean, dry, carefully packed injectors. They should be secured so they cannot move around and damage each other in transit. Dusty or greasy injectors increase service times because they must be externally cleaned before testing.

Suggested shipping method

If you have a set of Fuel Injector Clinic injectors, the original box is a strong option and fits well in a USPS Priority Mail Small Flat Rate box. USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate is generally the fastest and most cost-effective method, and insurance is recommended.

Return shipping

How returns are handled

Fuel Injector Clinic uses USPS Priority Mail service with insurance and tracking unless otherwise requested. All return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer.

Typical cost

Typical return shipping for a set of four injectors to a U.S. address with $300 insurance is between $18 and $26. Tracking information is sent to the email address included with the request.

Unclaimed items policy: Unclaimed items are held for a maximum of 3 months from the date of receipt. After that period, Fuel Injector Clinic reserves the right to dispose of the items, and replacements are not covered for items left unclaimed beyond the 3-month window.
