What to expect from the cleaning service

Fuel Injector Clinic is proud to offer ultrasonic cleaning and flow testing services. The process starts with a quick service request and shipment of your injectors to our team. Once your package arrives, we confirm receipt and move your injectors into the service queue.

Service scope: Fuel Injector Clinic services top-feed fuel port injectors only. No diesel injectors or direct injectors.

Initial flow testing

We test your injectors when they arrive, checking for leaks, Ohm values, spray pattern, pulse operation, and flow rate verification. If your injectors are functioning properly, we contact you for authorization before cleaning to keep costs and turnaround time under control.

Complete ultrasonic cleaning

Your injectors are immersed in an ultrasonic bath while being pulsed and back-flushed to help remove internal debris and deposits. The goal is to restore performance as closely as possible to like-new operation.

Post-cleaning test and data sheet

After cleaning, we flow test the injectors again and provide a flow sheet showing both the initial and post-cleaning results so you can see the difference in performance.

Seal, filter, and cap service

We replace all standard injector seals and, when applicable, internal filter baskets. Please include your injector seals so we can match the correct fitment. If pintle caps are broken or missing, we can often replace those as well, and we will contact you if special-order parts add cost.

Mailing instructions

Prepare the shipment

Pack clean, dry injectors carefully so they do not strike each other in transit. After completing the online request, send your injectors to Fuel Injector Clinic and we will begin the flow testing and cleaning process once they arrive.

Suggested shipping method

To reduce turnaround time, Fuel Injector Clinic suggests USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate as a fast and cost-effective option. Insurance is strongly recommended.

How returns are handled

Fuel Injector Clinic uses USPS Priority Mail service with insurance and tracking unless otherwise requested. All return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer.

Typical cost

Typical return cost for a set of four injectors shipped to a U.S. address with $300 insurance is between $18 and $26. Tracking information is emailed when an email address is included with the request.

Unclaimed items policy: Unclaimed items are held for a maximum of 3 months from the date of receipt. After that period, Fuel Injector Clinic reserves the right to dispose of the items, and replacements are not covered for items left unclaimed beyond the 3-month window.
